By bubbling those in accommodations and coordinating this with the coaches to and from the Alps, we can follow guidelines and minimise any potential outbreak should they reimplement restrictions

NUCO offers bespoke insurance that covers the following (at an additional cost):

• Cancellation cover if you catch COVID pre-departure

• Or asked to self-isolate by NHS track and trace

• Or turned away at the border as a result of a high temperature

Should France implement restrictions:

• We may have the capability to adapt après and organise outdoor events to get everyone dancing

• There is the potential to use the bubbling to organise smaller events where applicable

Q.

What happens if there is another European wide lockdown while we are on the trip?

What if there is a local lockdown in Edinburgh, would students be able to get a refund in this case?

Picture5_edited_edited.png

Q.

A.

NUCO will make any decisions based on local and UK government advice. If the advice is to return to the UK as quickly as possible, NUCO will facilitate this return journey with immediate effect and they would refund costs that we had either not incurred with suppliers or we were able to claim back.

A.

If there is a local lockdown in your university town, but not elsewhere in the UK, this would not affect the ability of NUCO to provide the package. On this basis NUCO would not be liable to provide any refund to passengers. However anyone who takes the Endsleigh policy will be covered should they be instructed to self isolate in the UK

Q.

If there was a lockdown in the resort or destination country - what would be the refund situation?

A.

Prior to travel - if the resort closes or there is a lockdown meaning new tourists cannot enter, then NUCO cannot provide the holiday package. In this case, you will be given a refund.

During the holiday - all passengers would comply with local regulations in terms of distancing and isolation. It is expected that they would finish the holiday under local guidelines and return to the UK as planned. If customers are advised to return to the UK, then immediate transport home would be provided. NUCO would refund costs that we had either not incurred with suppliers or we were able to claim back.

Q.

What would happen if the UK Government quarantine is imposed while students are on holiday?

A.

On the basis they had already commenced their holiday, then we would complete the holiday as normal and they would quarantine on their return.

Q.

Will you be refunded if you are infected with COVID or asked to self isolate prior to trip?

A.

Normal cancellation fees will apply, unless the passenger has purchased an eligible insurance policy (the policy offered by NUCO will cover this)

Q.

What happens if you get symptoms or test positive whilst in resort?

Q.

A.

What happens if FCO advise against non essential travel?

NUCO can run the holiday for those wishing to travel if the resort is open, transport is possible. If someone wants to cancel (they will be given the option at the point where travel is imminent), they can do so free of charge. For those who choose to travel, they must be insured to do so and they must follow any quarantine rules in place on return to the UK

A.

Stay in your room - do not leave and call the local medical centre immediately (do not visit the medical centre directly). Inform NUCO via the app. Avoid close contact with anyone else and follow on site instructions. If you test positive, then you will be given guidance from the local authorities which at this time would be to quarantine alongside those in your accommodation cohort. Your insurance should cover reasonable additional transport and accommodation requirements if instructed by a medical professional to self isolate (one passengers policy does not cover their roommates)

Q.

A.

Do I need to be vaccinated to go on the trip?

At the moment, Yes. The UK is currently on France’s amber list, so if you are not fully vaccinated, you will need to have an essential reason to travel to France from a country on France’s amber list (and the ski trip is unfortunately not an essential reason). To be considered as fully vaccinated, you must have recieved a dose no later than 9 months following the injection of the last required dose.
